Anyone know how to fix lid problem with senseo coffee machine?

Instead of using the pod, I tried it with normal coffee and the lid has been locked tight ever since. The website says it is caused by a vacum and the problem should be corrected after 24 hours. My machine has been like this for two days. Is it still under warranty? (cksq) //
